The truth about the society and a personality is that the only entity standing between them, is the appearance of a person. Appearances can speak volumes about a person, if used to one’s advantage. As fashion continues walking along the path of celebrating individuality, the rules of fashion appear tightly bound by trends and celebrities. Think of any style icon- Audrey Hepburn, Lady Gaga, Anushka Sharma or Ranveer Singh, what do all these celebrities have in common? They wear their personalities on sleeves. As a reader, fashion enthusiast or trend follower, one knows it is very difficult, if not impossible, to re-create these looks and pull them off as majestically as they did. It is, however, possible to learn from them. All their styles are unique and vastly different. The first lesson in this article is to be Creative. You have followed all the trends, you have prayed to your style icon day and night, but if you forget yourself in the process, it all ends up to being another follower in the crowd. You are a trendsetter, a leader in yourself. Learn to experiment. A different knot in your scarf or muffler, and shirt tucks might change your entire look. Never be afraid of trying out bold accessories, or of being slightly overdressed. A cool pullover or blazer on your dress gives it a classy edge. In fact, keep trying out different brands and shops, for you might find something that stands out. Stepping out of comfort zones could feel like walking into an unknown territory where judgemental monsters await you, but as long as you use your out of the box thinking, you will always stand out. Of course, this won’t work if you don’t feel Comfortable in your clothing, for as long as you feel good, you look good. In a social event, what works eventually, is your Charisma and Character. Stripes, Florals, Solids, Pastels might come and go, these four C’s will definitely help you in the long run.
